CO2 hop extract uses an all-aqueous process. Isomerized Hop Extract is used to replace kettle bittering hops to improve hop utilization. Generally used in pre-fermentation. For precise control of beer bitterness, Isomerized Hop Extract should be added pre-fermentation to adjust the bitterness of the beer to the target bitterness units. The unit of measure for our CO2 Hop Extracts is grams of alpha acid (gma) – a 150 gma can contains the resin extracted from 2-6 pounds of hops.
